I was pleased to meet the wonderful staff at Beverley Job Centre #BeverleyJCP who are working hard to help as many as people as possible to gain a job that is right for them.

I chaired a productive meeting with residents, the Council & the Police about how to reduce anti-social behaviour in Beverley. Positive progress is being made to tackle this issue but there is still more to do & I will continue working to ensure everyone feels safe in our town.

I am about to chair a meeting to discuss anti-social behaviour in Beverley. It is an issue that many of my constituents are concerned about and I am working with residents, the Police and Councillors to resolve this.

This afternoon I visited Beverley Parklands Care Home to mark #CareHomeOpenWeek. I thanked the staff for all of their hard work to ensure their residents get the best care possible; they are a great asset to our community.

I am delighted Jodi Roper from the @HumberNHSFT has been shortlisted for the NHS Parliamentary Awards. I nominated Jodi because she is a great asset to the NHS & regularly goes above & beyond to make a positive difference to her patients' lives.

I have written to Jonathan Evison, the @HumbersidePCC, in response to a government consultation about the governance of Fire & Rescue Services. I explained why changes should be made so Humberside Fire & Rescue Service is governed by the Humberside PCC.

This week is #LonelinessAwarenessWeek. Many people feel lonely sometimes so picking up the phone to a friend or relative you haven't spoken to recently could make a big difference to their day.

Over the past few months, I have been busy helping Ukrainian refugees get the approval necessary to enter the UK. I welcome refugees to Beverley and Holderness & encourage any sponsors who are having difficulty with visa applications to contact my office.

It was great to welcome the delegation of Vietnamese Ministers to Hull to show them how the investment and innovation of companies such as @Siemens are helping the UK to produce cleaner energy and create new jobs in Yorkshire and the Humber.

I disagreed with @BorisJohnson & voted against lockdown due to devastating impact on mental health. He was our best hope, got big calls right & vaccines. I will support him as we tackle the cost of living crisis. #Letthepeopledecide if he should remain PM when there is a GE

It was great to visit @Molescroft Primary School to join in with their Platinum Jubilee Party Day. I spoke at their assembly about the Queen’s role in defending our democracy and had a tour of the fun activities that the children were enjoying.

It was great to visit Drax Power Station @DraxGroup today to learn more about their ambitious decarbonisation project which will help the UK in its aim of being Net Zero by 2050 & help make Yorkshire and the Humber a global leader for green innovation.
