Great news that @BorisJohnson and @President_KR have agreed a new cooperation framework between the UK and South Korea.

I look forward to working with Foreign Minister @FMParkJin to deepen our economic and security ties in the Indo-Pacific. 🇬🇧🇰🇷

At the #NATOSummit this week, leaders are discussing the future of collective security following Russia’s illegal invasion of Ukraine.

The Kremlin has sought to distract from its aggression through lies – including about @NATO.

Here are the facts ⬇️

The Transatlantic Quad foreign ministers 🇬🇧 🇩🇪 🇫🇷 🇺🇸 met at #NATOSummit to discuss how we build a more modern, global and stronger alliance that:
➡️ Supports Ukraine with more military aid
➡️ Stops Putin weaponising hunger
➡️ Keeps pressure on Russia with sanctions

Important discussion with @NATO Special Representative for Women and fellow female foreign ministers.
Freedom - and freedom for women in particular - cannot be taken for granted.
Every generation must fight for it and we will.

Inspiring to have @ZelenskyyUa at the #NATOSummit today. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine’s fight for freedom and self-determination. Now is the time to double down and ensure Ukraine defeats Russia so President Zelenskyy can negotiate from a position of strength.

Russia’s invasion is the biggest threat faced by the free world in decades. We must be united to ensure Ukraine wins, deter aggressors like China and extend @NATO’s influence.
Watch as I set out a vision for a global @NATO to tackle the threats we face. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAKpO4jPors

Great to be with Finland and Sweden colleagues @Haavisto @AnnLinde tonight to mark news they are joining @NATO.

We need a strong, united NATO to deter aggressors in an increasingly geopolitical world. 🇬🇧🇸🇪🇫🇮 #NATOSummit #WeAreNATO

Many dear colleagues are happy that 🇸🇪&🇫🇮 will join @NATO. Here with 🇮🇸🇨🇦🇬🇧🇳🇴🇩🇰🇺🇸🇪🇸. #NATOSummit #WeAreNATO

At the #NATOSummit in Madrid this week we must not only ensure @NATO remains the cornerstone of Europe’s defence but also has the resources to adopt a more global role, tackling the threats we face including from an increasingly assertive China.

Parts of the Northern Ireland Protocol are causing problems for businesses and communities in Northern Ireland.

Our solution to fix these issues: https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/northern-ireland-protocol-bill

Important call with Prime Minister @Denys_Shmyhal this morning to discuss the latest situation and the Ukraine Recovery Conference next week.

The UK stands in solidarity with the Ukrainian people and we will work with them to support their reconstruction plans 🇬🇧🇺🇦

Tonight @HouseofCommons has backed the NI Protocol Bill.

It provides practical solutions to problems caused by the Protocol and protects the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement.

While a negotiated outcome remains our preference - the EU must accept changes to the Protocol itself.

💬 Live: My speech to @HouseofCommons on the Second Reading of the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill https://twitter.com/i/broadcasts/1zqKVBXywrmKB

Northern Ireland businesses and communities are facing problems on the ground because of the Protocol.

Our solution to fix these issues and protect the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement: http://gov.uk/protocol-bill

Good to discuss the UK’s solutions to fix problems with the Northern Ireland Protocol with business leaders.

We will continue to engage UK and EU businesses to make sure we have the best possible solutions in place.

As @MattHancock writes, changing the Northern Ireland Protocol is both necessary and legal.

The EU is unwilling to change the Protocol, therefore we must act to uphold the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement and fix practical problems in Northern Ireland👇

Putin is using hunger as a weapon of war and we cannot allow his blockade of Ukrainian grain to continue.

Today the UK is pledging up to £10m in aid to help Ukraine repair its rail infrastructure so Ukrainians can resume their crucial exports. 🇬🇧🇺🇦

NI Protocol Bill returns for 2nd reading today.

It will fix problems the Protocol has created in Northern Ireland & uphold the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement. Our preference remains a negotiated outcome, but EU continues to rule out change to Protocol👇

The NI Protocol is undermining the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement. The EU are unwilling to change the Protocol, therefore we must act.

Read my @FT piece on how our legislation will fix the practical problems the Protocol is causing👇

NEW: The @G7 has launched the Partnership for Global Infrastructure and Investment to mobilise $600bn of honest, reliable finance into low and middle income countries by 2028.

Acting as an economic NATO, the G7 will offer an alternative to investment from autocratic regimes.

We are determined to see a stronger, more resilient Commonwealth.

Together, we will fly the flag for freedom and sovereignty.

Today 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦🇯🇵 have led @G7 allies with sanctions to ban the import of Russian gold - cutting off funding for Putin’s war machine and further isolating Russia from the international financial system.

The free world must stay strong and united in support for Ukraine.

It is imperative that the @G7 and @NATO demonstrate commitment.

We cannot sell out. 🇬🇧🇺🇦

We are establishing Partners in the Blue Pacific (PBP) with Australia, Japan, New Zealand and the United States to support prosperity, resilience and security in the Pacific. 🇬🇧🇦🇺🇯🇵🇳🇿🇺🇸 👇

Important meeting of @CHOGM2022 discussing how we build a stronger, more resilient Commonwealth united behind our shared belief in sovereignty and self-determination. 🇬🇧🇷🇼

Today we thank our brave servicemen and women at home and abroad for standing up to aggressors and for their sacrifice and dedication to defend 🇬🇧 freedoms and values.

Thank you for your service.

Good to catch up with Commonwealth friends including India, Canada, Australia, Botswana, Bangladesh, Cyprus, Kenya, Jamaica, Singapore and Barbados. We are a network of nations who believe in sovereignty and democracy in the face of growing threats.

We cannot allow Russia to use hunger as a weapon of war. Spoke to the @G7 from Kigali today about efforts to unlock grain exports from Ukraine. We must end the blockade.

In Berlin at #unitingforfoodsecurity conference.

Russia’s illegal war has turned a storm of hunger into a hurricane.

There are no western sanctions against food & fertiliser to vulnerable countries.

Russian blockades stop Ukraine’s wheat feeding the world.

Great to be in Kigali for @CHOGM2022 for discussions on how we build a stronger, more resilient Commonwealth.

As a group of democratic nations, the Commonwealth has a vital role to play in defending freedom and self-determination, and acting as a counterweight to malign actors.

First visit of Foreign Secretary @trussliz of our strategic partner #UK to Ankara.

Discussed our relations, #Ukraine, #NATO and #Syria.

Will increase our trade & expand our Free Trade Agreement.

Will further strengthen our defense industry cooperation. 🇹🇷🇬🇧

Putin is weaponising hunger. He is using food security as a callous tool of war.

Talked about steps to get grain out of Ukraine with Turkish Foreign Minister @MevlutCavusoglu.

Vital these are implemented in the next month.🇬🇧🇹🇷🇺🇦

Türkiye is an important partner for the UK. We are key European NATO allies.

I met Vice President @fuatoktay in Ankara & talked about the UK & Türkiye deepening our cooperation in areas including energy, defence and security. We continue to work together to support Ukraine.

My thoughts are with all those affected by the devastating earthquake in Afghanistan. The UK stands ready to support them at this difficult time.

The UK fully supports Lithuania stopping sanctioned goods from Russia travelling through their country. We must stay strong in the face of Russian aggression and challenge these unjustified threats. 🇬🇧🇱🇹

Great speaking with @yairlapid about continued efforts to support Ukraine, the need to prevent aggressors gaining nuclear weapons, and the strength of our 🇬🇧 🇮🇱 relationship.

Met @NikkiHaley to talk about the importance of ensuring Putin loses in Ukraine and standing up to aggressors and authoritarians around the world in defence of freedom and liberty 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

💬 We are doing all we can to secure the export of grain from Ukraine.

Foreign Secretary @trussliz has updated @HouseofCommons on Russia's blockade of Ukrainian grain.

Pleased the UK has secured the release of 5 British nationals detained in Afghanistan. They will soon be reunited with their families. I am grateful for the hard work of British diplomats to secure this outcome.

The UK is galvanising global efforts to tackle sexual violence being used as a weapon in conflict.

On International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, the need to address this abhorrent crime is more pressing than ever.
